The desert city of Jaisalmer appears to be a fairy tale land. The fort is one of the very few "living forts" in India with a full human settlement inside the fort walls. Ranthambhore, an erstwhile royal hunting ground, is famous for its Royal Bengal Tigers. A fort within the park is one of the haunts of the Tiger.
